MO / UDO / PD / DVD-RAM

Magneto-optical media in 3.5 inch and 5.25 inch cartridges and Ultra Density Optical media (UDO) in 5.25 inch cartridges were highly valued due to their enormous durability (>50 years) and reliability in many areas, e.g. archiving or in the medical sector. Many of these systems are still running reliably, but some have already been replaced by newer technologies. The magneto-optical disk (MO disk, also known as MOD) is a rotating storage medium that is written to magnetically and read optically. There is no standardized spelling for magneto-optical disks. You will find both Magneto-Optical Disc / Magneto Optical Disc and MO diskette (MO Disk) or just MO for short. Of course, we also read PD (650MB) and other phase-change media (DVD-RAM) from type 1 (cartridge) to type 4 (loose).

Now it can happen that you still have these old media with important data, but no longer have a (functioning) drive to read this data or you are still using this technology and a defective drive can no longer be replaced by your service provider. In both cases we can help you. We reliably read all the media types listed below and back up the data to a medium of your choice (hard disk, BluRay, encrypted download). It does not matter whether the media is WORM (Write Once Read Many) or RW (Rewritable). If your valuable data is to be transferred to another data carrier, your media will be stored under lock and key until it is used and will only be processed on an encrypted system and transported on encrypted data carriers. This means you can always be sure that your valuable data will not fall into the wrong hands. We will also confirm this to you in writing.
